The very popular kit contains the essential ingredients to complete a lovely casting, including the alginate, casting plaster and a fantastic instruction sheet with hints and tips on using the products. NB The kit is plain bagged to keep costs super low. 

Why choose this kit ? It contains ALGINART - the best alginate in the UK according to the pro handcasting studios who love it!  The great benefit of our chromatic alginate is that it is relatively slow setting. Start to finish of the moulding process it takes 3 minutes. Some competitors take half that time which is just not enough time to work in.

The Chromatic Alginate is super skinsafe and can be used on the youngest child as designed for use in the mouth. It changes colour as you work with it telling you which stage you should be at from mixing to applying to setting.

EXTRA ITEMS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE CASTINGS

The only thing you will need is a beater - ideally an electric hand whisk plus something disposable to mix the plaster in (like an ice cream tub) and then a container that the hand or foot will be plunged into.  That is normally either small polybags or yoghurt pots (for a baby hand cast) or a plastic jug or one of our buckets for an adult hand cast or a larger plastic bucket/tub for family casts - basically pick a container that is just bigger than the hands/feet you are casting so they are fully inside it and don't touch the sides.  You don't want something too big or it will use too much alginate....
