SUPER SCULPEY SOFT GREY POLYMER MODELLING CLAY
Neutral gray color allows maximum visibility of sculpting detail.
This polymer clay will stay soft and malleable until you bake it, so you can create finely detailed crafts and sculptures without worrying about the clay drying out. Super Sculpey won't "fill in" after tooling, meaning even the most delicate work will stay intact. The neutral gray color of Super Sculpey oven-bake clay allows for maximum visibility so you can see every detail as you work.
Characteristics
Used by movie animation studios and professionals worldwide for prototypes, maquettes, and all kinds of dolls. Super Sculpey has a long track record as a superb clay for sculpting. The finest detail is achievable and added clay can be smoothed in seamlessly.
This ceramic like sculpturing compound oven bakes to a shatter and chip resistant finish.
After baking, you can drill, carve, sand and paint Super Sculpey clay to create the unique piece you envisioned.
Curing
Super Sculpey should be cured in a preheated 275 degree F (130 degree C) oven for 15 minutes per quarter inch of thickness. DO NOT MICROWAVE. For example, a piece of ½" thickness would be cured for 30 minutes. The layering method is recommended for larger pieces of construction.
Use
Because of the fine tooling and detailing characteristics of Super Sculpey, it is frequently the chosen clay for making prototypes from which moulds are made from the Super Sculpey sculptures; then reproductions are made using the molds. Additionally, artists are producing finely detailed finished sculptures using Super Sculpey.
Storage
Sculpey polymer clay products should remain fresh if properly stored in a cool place, away from heat and direct sunlight.
